Even though I get super quesy and lightheaded from getting my blood drawn, I survived getting poked 4 times in that 3 hours. I think the worst part was having to fast from 7:30 the night before until about 11:30am the next day.
We met with the doctor and I bombarded her with my first list of 20 questions.
I've been having this burning, irritating pain in my really low abdomen, and after she felt around a little, she said that the baby's head was super low and pushing on tons of nerves, making it hurt. Silly boy... she told me a few yoga positions to do to try to move the boy up and ease some of my discomfort.
I gained 2 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks, which is good since they say about 1 pound a week at this point. So... 22 pounds total so far.
She also recommended I get a breastfeeding BOOK to help me out... however, I have 2 other books I've been reading and don't really have time for a 3rd. I really don't know how necessary this is since we have the internet. But, who knows, I could regret not reading a novel about it. We'll see....
A nurse called last night with the test results from my glucose test... and they are normal!!! So, no special diabetic diet for me! (other than the no feta cheese, no lunch meat, no alfalfa sprouts, no mahi mahi, no sushi, hardly any caffeine, no alcohol, etc)
YAY!!!
My next appointment is Wed. Feb 25, normal checkup.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
